I have been a photographer for nearly four decades, having worked with newspapers, trade journals, magazines and just about anything in between. Never shot a wedding or Bar Mitzvah (OK, while in college I did some pro bono for friends and relatives); no real experience with birds or flower close ups.
I have traveled throughout the US and in Europe, but most of those slides will never be revived. I went digital a few years back. Most recently, I have been involved in equine related photography, a direct consequence of dividing the year equally between Saratoga Springs, NY and Aiken, SC.
I have always enjoyed photographing the "ironic" in life, and I expect in the next couple of years that will be my self assignment. No, I haven't made the perfect picture yet, but it's fun (and occasionally frustrating), moving toward that goal.
