I'm very happy when I'm taking photographs and I love giving my clients rich, strong images. I photograph people, for a variety of reasons, and I photograph things for artists and businesses. I have superb equipment and diverse skills. Much of my work has been illustration for magazines and books, and I've had over 6,000 images published, including 25 cover-shots. Joyce and I have produced two practical gardening books together and over 700 magazine articles.
I photograph weddings just as an occasional pleasure. I'd like to think that gives me some advantages. No tired habits and no desire to force everybody to fit my expectations, or for those involved to be anything other than themselves, enjoying a very special day. I enjoy quirky and unconventional weddings and couples.
As a photography trainer I've coached many groups and individuals and I've devised and delivered photography workshops for organisations including the Crafts Council of Ireland, National Sculpture Factory, LEADER, Olympus, various arts organisations and county arts offices. My work is supported by Olympus.
Home is West Cork, Ireland, where I live in the mountains with a lovely garden and my wood workshop, but I travel nationally and internationally for photography and photography training.
