What are your hours of operation?
My regular business hours are Monday-Friday 10am-8pm. Regular business hours are for scheduling appointments, answering questions/emails, ordering and picking up orders. Sessions can be booked for in-studio or Location sessions during those times also.
Can we bring extra outfits?
Sure. I usually suggest limiting your choices to between 3-5 for High School Seniors and 2-3 for smaller children, because they often get fussy if you change their clothing too much.
Can we bring our family pet?
You sure can, only for location portraits only after all, they're part of the family too. I usually just ask that a another person who is not intent on being photographed to be present to hold the pet, when it's not needed.
Can we have outdoor portraits at our home, or other location?
You're welcome to pick any location for your portraits within 25 miles of my location.
What should we wear?
Simply put, solid colors are always best, along with longer sleeves as opposed to crop/ tank tops, denim is always a popular choice too.
What about accessories?
Accessories such as hats, scarves, sunglasses, and jewelry are nice choices and can add alot of personality to your portraits. Additional props such as varsity/letterman jackets, class rings, cap/gown, prom dresses, instruments, sports equipment, stuffed animals, or anything special to you are always welcome.
How long does it take for an order to come in?
Once your session is complete, you will be able to view your proofs online in about 3-5 days. Once an order is placed it usually takes between 1-3 weeks for an order to come in, dependent entirely on the type of order placed. ( if mounting or special services are required please add more time)
What types of payment do you accept?
Currently I accept Cash, Check, Credit Card (Only on online orders through PayPal).
How much notice do you need to book an appointment?
I usually ask for at least 24-48 hours. However, because I'm often a very busy person, the sooner you call, the better chance you will have of scheduling the day that you want. You can book as far in advance as you need. I do have cancellations and will certainly put you on my cancellation/call list if you would like an earlier time.
What about your prices?
Please call or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like a current price list.
Do you sell your images on CD?
Yes Copy Right Only.
Can I purchase proofs?
Yes proofs can be purchased.
I want outside portraits mostly, what do we do if it's cold or rainy?
Unfortunately we are at the mercy of the weather when we do outdoor portraits. Cloudy days are often NOT a problem. Cold days are ok as long as it's not near freezing, we certainly don't want pink noses/cheeks, and equipment can't be used below freezing. Rain is certainly an NO-NO. If it's raining the day of your appointment around the time of your session we will most likely reschedule.
How soon should I book senior portraits or Christmas portraits?
High School seniors are usually "rewarded" if they come in the summer before their Senior Year, but as along as they are photographed in time to allow for standard shipping of their proofs/ and order they can come in year around. I usually get really busy once school starts and Families start thinking about Christmas portraits long before December. The ideal time to have your Christmas portraits done is usually early-late fall (September-Mid November). I will certainly photograph families in December, as long as they understand that the mailing system slows considerably the closer we get to the Holidays.
How long do I have to place my order?
Once you view your proofs, you have 30 days to order if more time is need just call and give me a heads up.
