I Believe Life is beautiful... Some of my favorite things in my life are enjoying a cup of coffee with friends, hiking up a mountain trail, enjoying a quiet Sunday at home with my family, or curling up with a good book. But my passion has always been art. I have worn many hats in my life; student, teacher, mother, wife. Through it all I’ve always considered myself an artist. Photography allows me to combine my love of art with my love of people, especially children. I’m also hopelessly romantic and a touch nostalgic. Life passes by quickly and I long to capture and cherish not only the special moments, but also the ordinary, because in the long run even the most mundane moments are special. My shooting style is down to earth and adventurous. While I may have a certain image or pose in mind, I am also constantly seeking out new possibilities. The best images are often spontaneous, as most moments in life are. Your life is beautiful, and I am passionate about capturing that beauty through the art of photography. The joy in a young couple’s face when they look at each other, the touch of your infant’s hand wrapped around your finger, the bounce of your toddler’s curls as she skips down the sidewalk, the fleeting smile of your teenage son. These are the moments I see through my lens. Anyone with children knows families are noisy, messy, complicated, and wonderful. That is what I strive to capture with my camera.
