Answers to Questions you "Should" be asking a photographer for your wedding!!!

Hello!!  We are Mike and Sha with McNairPhotography.com.  We want to do an excellent job for you.  We are dependable and will do everything we can to get you some remarkable memories.....  In considering any photographer, ask the following questions!  It is important to you as a bridal couple!!!  Best of luck and we hope to share in your special moment.  Remember, we will work to meet YOUR budget!!!

QUESTIONS TO ASK PHOTOGRAPHER!!  Here are our answers, guaranteed to YOU!


• How many years of experience do you have as a photographer?

Michael has 20+ years doing photography. He has been doing wedding photography for 8 years and it is his calling. His work and eye are exceptional and he is very easy to work with.

What percentage of your business is dedicated to weddings?

75% is dedicated to wedding, bridal and engagement photography

Approximately how many weddings have you photographed?

Thousands of people and events, of those 100+ are weddings!!

Are you the person who will photograph my wedding?

Yes, and if requested my wife (who is a photographer can be there to shoot the bridal party getting ready).

Will you bring an assistant with you to my wedding?

If requested, Sharon McNair can come and do all the extra photography (the bridal party getting ready), the people at the reception, while I focus on the bride and groom.

How do you typically dress for weddings?

Black slacks, black shirt, ALWAYS professional, we don't eat unless offered after we have finished completely shooting, we are there working and professionalism is most important and catching the perfect photos!

Do you have a professional studio?

We have a large home in Anna, Texas and our studio is located in our home.

What type of equipment do you use?

Canon and Nikon

Do you bring backup equipment with you to weddings?

Definately!

Do you need to visit the ceremony and reception sites prior to the wedding?

It is always nice to see where we will be shooting in advance, but we don't "need" to.  Sometimes the couple will invite us to the rehearsal, just so we can walk around and get a feel for the location.

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes

Are you skilled in diffused lighting & soft focus?

Yes

Can you take studio portraits?

Yes

Can you retouch my images?

Yes

Can digital files be purchased? If so, what is the cost?

Yes, we have packages available on our site for all our digital purchases.

What is the cost of the package I am interested in?

What is your payment policy?

Depending on the date of the wedding we will work out payment arrangements, but the entire wedding must be fully paid for one week prior to the wedding, with normally 50% due unfront (negotiable).

What is your cancellation policy?

If cancelled within 90 days of wedding, then full 100% refund. As it gets closer and the likeliness of us booking anothe event gets closer... within 60 days 75% refund....within 30 days of wedding 50%.... within 15 days of wedding - no refund.

Do you use paper proofs or DVD proofing?

We can do both.

How many photographs will I have to choose from?

HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS!!

When will I get my proofs?

The maxium time would be 7 days after wedding, hopefully sooner!

When will I get my album?

We do not do albums, if you would like an album we will be happy to suggest some budget companies.

What is the cost of an engagement portrait? Formal bridal portrait?

What is the cost of a parent album?

We don't do albums at this time, we would have to charge to much money and you can get this done so much cheaper yourself by finding an online company!!

What is the cost of a 5" x 7" reprint?

What is the cost per additional hour of shooting at the wedding?

Our services are all budget minded. It is really simple..... for Photography Services - $150.00 for the first hour and $100.00 an hour for each additional hour. With the assistant - $200.00 per hour for the first hour and $150.00 for each additional hour.
