Portrait

A face devoid of love or grace,
A hateful, hard, successful face,
A face with which a stone
Would feel as thoroughly at ease
As were they old acquaintances,--
First time together thrown.
-- "A Portrait" by Emily Dickinson

My intent is to display the likeness, personality, and even the mood of the person I photograph. For this reason, in photography a portrait should not be simply a snapshot, but a composed image of a person in a still position.

Whether you are interested in having your portrait done in the controlled confines of a studio or another place you feel more comfortable, call me and we can arrange a place and time to do your portrait.
