Why should you bother getting someone else to take pictures for you?

These days camera-phones and compact digital cameras are pretty sophisticated. When the light is good and you're reasonably close to your subject these cameras can match anything that I or any other "proper" photographer can do.

But, photography isn't about hardware and a lot of megapixels doesn't guarantee a good photograph. Getting the best possible image from any scene requires an eye for composition, a feel for the subject and above all commitment...

I first became interested in photography at the age of 10 and remember spending all my pocket money on getting pictures of buildings, animals and landscapes developed and printed.

I'm passionate about taking pictures. Everything that I photograph, whether it be a simple picture of the proud parents with their new offspring or a fully fledged studio portrait is taken with the same degree of care and respect.
