Nurseries... |
|
I have found that one of the best places to photograph children where they are relaxed and happy is at their nursery or playgroup - in a familiar place surrounded by their friends and carers.
What does the process involve?
I come to the nursery for an initial visit with posters and flyers for parents so that they can be made aware of the dates and times of sessions. I take photos for about an hour for two mornings of the agreed week or aim to fit in with whatever suits the timetable. Parents then receive either a letter containing a password for them to see their child's portrait online or, if they do not have access to the internet, a contact sheet with an order form.
What does the nursery get out of this?
As well as providing an alternative or an addition to the "formal" photographs traditionally used in nurseries and schools, we offer the nursery a commission of 15% of profits.
