Q. What sort of pets do you photograph?
A. Anything and everything - from dogs and cats to rabbits and rats, horses and hamsters and everything in between! Whatever pet you have, I'd love to take some amazing photographs for you, so pleaseget in touch and tell me all about your best friends!
Q. Do you just take photos of pets and animals?
A. Star Paws specialises in pet photography. However that doesn't mean you can't be in some pictures with your pet too - it's great to capture the bond people have with their pets, so you and anyone else in the family are very welcome to join in!
Q. When will the portrait session take place?
A. I try to be as flexible as possible and schedule both morning and afternoon appointments seven days a week. Weekend sessions do tend to get booked up further in advance, so you may have to wait a little longer than if you chose a weekday for your pet photo shoot.
Q. Where will the session take place?
A. Most take place either at your own home or in your garden, or at an outdoor location of your choice. I'm open to any requests or suggestions you might have regarding the location, so do let me know if you've got somewhere in particular in mind. Please note that an additional mileage fee to cover costs may be charged for return journeys in excess of 50 miles from my base (i.e. over 25 miles each way). Naturally any such charges would be discussed and agreed with you in advance.
Q. What will happen during the portrait session?
A. We will have already had a chat or email exchange about the sort of photographs you'd like before the session takes place, but we'll go over things again right at the start, and if necessary I'll check out the best locations to shoot or set up equipment. Of course your pet will also be given all the time they need to check me out and make friends before I go anywhere near my camera! I've got a lot of experience with shy and nervous pets, and would never ever rush or stress them. Once we've all got to know each other, the fun begins and I can start capturing some fantastic images for you.
Q. How long will a session take?
A. Each one is different, and the length of time I spend with you and your pet can vary depending on a number of factors, but you can rest assured that I never rush through a shoot because I need to be elsewhere, and I don't clock watch while I'm working. To give you a rough idea, the average session probably takes around an hour to an hour and a half, but that's not set in stone by any means.
Q. How and when will I get to see the photographs?
A. At the end of your portrait session, we'll set up a date and time for a viewing appointment, when I come back and show you all of the beautifully edited images from the session. You can select your favourites and then choose from the fantastic range of finished products that Star Paws has to offer you. If you'd rather, you can just view your images online through your own private, password protected online gallery.
Q. What forms of payment do you accept?
A. I can email you an invoice with a link to pay your session fee online, or you can pay in cash on the day if you prefer. Orders can be paid for in person at your viewing session by debit or credit card, online via invoice, by bank transfer, or of course you can also pay by cash.
Q. I have a question not listed here! A. No problem - just contact me and ask away!
