FAQ`s
FAQ`s
What is the best way to contact you?
Email! Is the best way to get in touch as Sarah may be out on a session and will not be able to take your call.

When is the best time to schedule a Maternity Session?
Maternity sessions are best held when you are 36 weeks+. It is recommended that you book early on in your pregnancy as Sarah's schedule fills up extremely quickly and it would be a shame to miss out.

When is the best time to book a newborn session?
The simple answer is "the earlier the better". You should book as soon as possible, preferably while you are pregnant to ensure that Sarah can fit you in. A provisional booking based around your due date for 1-2 weeks after is placed in the diary.
Sarah recommends that you call her at a time convenient to you, bearing in mind that the best pictures of newborns are captured within the first 2 weeks.

How long does a session typically last?
Generally sessions last between 1-2 hours, although newborn sessions have been known to go a little longer. This allows plenty of time for the children to relax and play and have fun and for us to capture some beautiful images.

What is the best time of day to schedule a session?
As a mum the time of the session is scheduled around both you and your family as you know when your siblings are at their best and more relaxed.

Where are the photographs taken?
Anywhere you like! For newborns, Sarah prefers to shoot at your home. It ensures you and the baby are the most comfortable and at ease for the session. Sarah enjoys photographing children, families, and babies outdoors. Children enjoy change and distractions which can be found in parks and other outside spots. Depending on where you live and how far you are willing to travel, Sarah will always have some location suggestions.

What areas do you cover?
Sarah will travel within South Wales and the South West area. Additional fees to cover mileage bands greater than 20 miles from her home (NP19) will apply. Contact Sarah for further details.

What should we wear?
You have a lot of options when it comes to clothing. If you prefer a classic look, choose something simple, without busy patterns or logos. Let's not distract from the essence of the portraits, your family. Jeans work really well as you can dress them up or down. Bare feet always look perfect and babies look best in their own skin, or just wrapped in a blanket. But please.......don't be afraid to have fun. For a more modern look choose a few fresh and funky items too......show personality! Tights, hats, jackets, beanies, scarves, skateboards, bikes, teddies etc all make wonderful accessories. If in doubt, choose several outfits and Sarah will help you with what works best.

Sarah loves to incorporate personalities, so feel free to choose items that are special to you and your family. If your child/children has a passion (instrument, ball, teddy, etc), let's use it.

What if my child is sick on the day of the session?
In the event of illness, it is highly recommended that you call Sarah as soon as possible to reschedule. Having Sarah visit whilst your child/children are unwell will only add extra pressure on both you and your family. Please note that re-scheduling your session will not incur any penalties or additional charges as Sarah would much prefer to re-schedule a session if it means getting you images that you can truly be proud of.

Do you photograph extended families?
No.  Sarah prefers to photograph immediate families only. Larger family groups require organising and posing which strays from her  style.

What other kind of photography do you specialise in?
Although Sarah specialises in Pregnancy, Newborn and Child photography, she’s also an extremely popular choice for informal Family portraits and Pet photography (see the gallery section for more information).

Can I purchase all of the images from the session?
Yes.  Session Keepsake albums are available for purchase on a DVD -  this includes a complementary CD slide show of all your images. These can then be used to print, copy, display the images that you require from the CD as the copyright is removed. This excellent keepsake is a very popular choice as it allows you to keep all of the images without feeling like you have let precious images go.

Do you offer a framing service?
Yes. A full custom framing service with many frames to choose from is offered. Just ask for a complete price list and quotation.

What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, Cheque or PayPal. Once your cheque clears, your order will be released.

Do you require a deposit?
A deposit is not required at the time of booking the session, however, either full or part payment will be required at the end of the first session.

When will my photos be ready?
Approximately 3 weeks from the date of the session your photos will be available either online or via a personalised preview session with Sarah (which ever you prefer). All orders which are placed either online or at the preview session are available within 14 days.

Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes! You can either purchase a gift certificate for an specific amount or for a session. This is very popular for gifts for expectant parents, birthdays or special occasions (please contact Sarah for any additional information and a customised voucher).

If there are any questions that are still unanswered please feel free to get in touch with Sarah who will be more than happy to answer them.
