What better way to celebrate your little one turning one than with a Cake Smash Session! A chance for them to eat cake, get messy and enjoy every second of turning one. Although originally a fun trend in the US, cake smash photography is now hugely popular in Australia!
So, what's a cake smash all about then? "Well it's a lot like baby sensory really, but rather than letting them loose with paints or play dough, they're presented with a delicious birthday cake." Some get really into the spirit of the cake smash and get stuck in, while others gently prod the icing and delicately nibble. Either way you'll love seeing their individual personalities shine through when they're presented with the yummy birthday cake. But at the end of the day, the result of your cake smash session is for your baby to have a fantastic time. We'll be singing, playing and generally just having lots of fun, plus I capture all of your babies smiles and excitement on camera, so you have beautiful photos to treasure. Bookings: The best time to book this session is between the ages of 10-13 months old. Your session can be planned around a specific theme/colour scheme you have in mind. Once I have received your booking, we will organise a time to meet and go over ideas, either in person or over the phone. Then we will start building the perfect cake smash for your little one! Safety: If you are aware of any food allergies or intolerances that may affect your baby, please let me know upon booking. We can pass the specifics on to my cake supplier to ensure your babies sensitivities are accounted for. If you aren't sure, it is a good idea to give your little one a cup cake topped with butter cream icing to play with the week before your session - this helps them become familiar with the different textures while keeping an eye on any reactions.
