How my company collects information
I use a system called Google Analytics. In a nutshell this will help me to find out how you found me in the first place. For example, did you simply type my website into google or did you use a different search engine. None of this is done to obtain any personal information about you it’s purely for me to see how my customers find me. This is done to provide the best customer experience possible. This data is held for a period of 40 months.
I collect different types of information before, during and after you book with Ben Cumming Photography and use any of my services. For example: • Names, Addresses and Contact Information of the person(s) using my wedding / portrait services. • Names, Addresses and Contact Information of the person(s) placing a print order with me. • Names of participants of a photo shoot. (and in some cases, ages and gender) • Details such as the address and/or running order of your shoot.
If you send me an E-Mail me or message me, messages are stored for as long as practical to allow me to provide you with better future services.
My email servers are routed through Private Email. Their privacy policy can be found here Most of the information I collect is given by you, however sometimes information could be collected by way of a third party. For example a family member or friend may book my services for you. All data is stored using password protected data management software (Studio Ninja) and on my own computer systems which are password protected.
Facebook
I use a system called Facebook pixel for Ben Cumming Photography on Facebook. This allows me to target my advertising to the relevant people, for example if you have recently become engaged or you have an interest in bridal pages, my Facebook advertising would be likely to appear on your news feed in the target area you live in. Again none of this is done to capture or store any personal information about your identity. More information about Facebook pixel and how to control the way adverts appear can be found here
Purchases that are made through my website are handled by two payment providers through their own secure servers. I have added a link to their privacy policies too for your peace of mind.
Purchases can also be made via Bank Transfer whereby I I provide you with my bank details rather than requiring details from you.
