About the Photographer

My name is Marcie Miller-Rodriguez. I am originally from Northern Ohio and now reside in the beautiful Bluegrass state of Kentucky. I live with my  beautiful twin daughters, my wonderful husband Alex and our spunky little furchild, Marley.

    Photography has always been a passion of mine. A few years ago I decided to take my passion and turn it into a full time job. I have built up a clientele and now run my own business capturing memories for my wonderful clients, who more often than not, end up becoming friends. I love what I do and I love the people I get to meet. Aside from photography I am completely in ♥with all things art and design.

    I studied photography basics through a course provided by the New York Institute of Photography and am now currently attending the Art Institute and am studying for my Bachelors in Photography.

    My goal in Portraiture is to not only capture the look of a person but also capture their personality. Emotion is what makes a photograph and I am forever watching from the other side of the lens for that "just right" expression or moment to capture. The great documentary photographer Dorthea Lange once said, "While there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see."
