Fun Stuff To Include With Your Letters

REINDEER FOOD RECIPE

This makes a great gift to hand out to the kids on Christmas Eve!

In a small Ziploc bag or baby food container, mix:

1/4 cup oatmeal

1/4 cup sugar

a sprinkle of red or green sugar crystals (for cake decorating)

glitter (optional)

OPTIONAL: You can cut a circle of cloth or felt a bit larger than the lid. Place over the lid and tie a ribbon around it to decorate. Kleenex has been cut in a circle and tied it with wool for the top of our lid, which turned out really nice. (the amounts don't have to be exact)
Put in a bag with a cute little topper labeled “reindeer food” and a poem printed on it.

Poem to go with the food:

Sprinkle on the lawn at night

The moon will make it sparkle bright

As Santa's reindeer fly and roam

This will guide them to your home.

CHRISTMAS DUST:

Take a bag and put oats and glitter in it. Staple saying to bag.


Sprinkle your lawn with CHRISTMAS DUST this CHRISTMAS EVE and wait-
The glitter soon will sparkle! Santa will not be late
The sparkle is magic on CHRISTMAS EVE when seen by Santa's eyes,
The smell of oats will guide the reindeer down from the highest skies.

ANGEL DUST

Decorate an envelope with markers or your inkjet printer. Place this poem inside with glitter or sparkling confetti inside:

This Angel Dust is magic
But only when kept enclosed
Should you dare to open it
Your doubt will be exposed

A BAG OF COAL

Santa checked his list once, then he checked it twice,
And he found out you were naughty, and not at all nice.
So if you're good next year and nice as you can be,
You'll find he'll leave you presents, not coal, under the tree!!

Put some pieces of chunked up black licorice in a bag and tie it with red & green ribbon.
