Staying COVID-19 Secure in 2020 Our New Normal We are very excited that our studio is now gradually reopening after what has been a difficult time for everyone. Along with everyone else we have had to take a look at our working practices and have had to adapt to the new guidance published by the government, some of our changes may seem a little over the top but they are needed to comply with the government and our insurance company. The health and wellbeing of all our customers and ourselves is the most important thing. We know this is a long read but this is necessary so that we can get back to doing what we love and do best, capturing those special moments for you. We look forward and cannot wait for you to visit our studio for your portrait session. WHAT WE ARE DOING. We do have available hand washing facilities, hand sanitizer and disposable face masks. All surfaces will be cleaned and sanitised before your session There will be additional cleaning on other busy areas outside of our studio room, door handles, toilet, stair handrails etc. We will supply hand drying towels in the bathroom which will be used once and then popped in our waste bin to be washed. Props will be washed and sanitised prior to each session. As usual all blankets, wraps etc will only be used once and then washed. Unfortunately, refreshments will be unavailable, but you are welcome to bring in your own, please take any rubbish home with you. We may not be able to use as many of our props and items that we are used to but we will not compromise on the experience you have with us and the quality of the photographs we produce at this special time. NEWBORN SESSIONS. As our newborn photography is close contact and with us handling your baby, we will be wearing the appropriate PPE, i.e. face masks, face shields, gloves. We do have disposable aprons, but we prefer to not use these as they make handling your baby difficult, but we will have a fresh change of clothes for your session. To keep contact to a minimum, we will ask you to safely lay your baby on our posing bean bag and step back and we shall then pick your baby up and begin the session. Instead of passing your baby back to you in between our sets we will lay your baby on our comfy posing bean bag in front of you. We may include parents in the posing of baby where necessary with direction from ourselves. When it comes to the time to give your baby a feed and change nappies, we are usually in the same room with you having a chat, however, to minimise as much contact as possible we may leave the room for a short while. You may still bring along your own small prop, for instance a teddy or blanket but these must be washed and bagged up until your session. Please try to keep your baby awake a little bit before you arrive if possible so your baby will be sleepy for the session and easier to get them to sleep. For sibling and family photographs these will be taken at the beginning of the session (this also applies to 6 and 12 month sessions) and we would ask that someone is available to take siblings home immediately following the family and sibling photos as this helps to minimise contact as much as possible as we are unable to supply any of our toys to keep them occupied. OTHER SESSIONS. With our 6 and 12-month sessions, Family sessions and Bump sessions we are able to comply with the 2m social distancing guidelines. For our bump sessions we will be wearing PPE. WHAT WE ASK OF YOU. We are unable to go ahead with the session unless the Covid-19 waiver form is signed please. We now send our questionnaire/contact form before the session rather than when you come in and this needs to be completed online before your session. At this time, we are only photographing members of the same household in the studio. We will ask you to sanitise your hands upon entering the building before proceeding up the stairs, you will then be required to wash your hands and remove shoes before entering the studio room. We do ask that you leave anything not needed for the session in your car, for instance coats etc. If possible, we ask that you come to the studio with your baby in the car seat and leave your pram in the car if you are able to do so, again this is to minimise contact in the studio. We will ask you to be as specific as possible with regards to colour schemes/props/images etc as we may not get every type of shot and prop that we would like. As we need to limit the amount of people, we have in the studio at any one time we shall now be operating on an appointment only basis. If you are collecting work, we ask you to contact us to arrange a date and time for you to collect. We are only able to offer a limited amount of portrait sessions per day as we now allow more time between our sessions for cleaning and sanitizing our studio between sessions. We do ask that you arrive at the studio at the time scheduled for your session (please do not arrive early) If you arrive late for your session this will unfortunately have an effect on how long we can schedule for your session, as we do need the time in between sessions for cleaning. If anything is unclear please contact us for guidance. RESCHEDULING. We do request that if you are showing any symptoms of Covid-19 that you do not come to the studio. Please contact us to arrange an alternative date. If we are showing any symptoms, we will not hesitate to cancel your session and reschedule we it is appropriate to do so. Symptoms of COVID-19 include but are not limited to: High temperature Sore throat Headaches Loss of smell / taste Fatigue Dry Cough Difficulty Breathing Stay Alert • Control The Virus • Save Lives
