For over 20 years of taking photographs you certainly see and experience a lot of moments while photographing people and their special days.  It is with a grateful heart for you allowing us to take part in your lives that I'd like to share a few thoughts about us and how our philosophy on photography has developed over these many amazing years.  

 

What we do is about people, not just about taking amazing photographs, but seeing people, understanding them and then...capturing their personality, whether its whats visible or realizing what it is they want others to see about them.  Sometimes quick snaps, other times taking the time to set up a scene, but in the end the reason for any of that is to show who you are.

 

Weddings are about people!  First and foremost the bride and groom and their unique relationship, then its about their family, some close and very connected others strained through the challenges of this life but they are there none-the-less and taking part in this most sacred of days.  Then you have the friends of the couple, the chosen honored few, the bridal party and their relationships to the couple spanning as far back as birth.  We enter into this day understanding that these deep relationships are what make this day what it is, these people make this day what it is, and they are to be treated with that kind of respect and admiration.  Therefore we have discovered how important it is to not just honor the couple about to join their life together, but to honor the family and friends whom make your wedding day truly great.  We come to your wedding ready to celebrate with you and your family and friends, we come ready to share in it, not just capture it, we come to bring more joy and happiness, not just to the couple, but to all your family and friends whom are such an important part of your life. 

At the end of a long wedding day, yes we do get tired though I always bring my wings, thanks red-bull, it brings me such great satisfaction to have mom, dad and friends in the bridal party, come up to me or Heather and tell us how much fun they had shooting with us and how much they are looking forward to seeing the pictures.  Besides delivering amazing images, and yes we do always set our sights on 'amazing' , I want to you to have the best time shooting with us that you've ever had, I want you to walk away excited and happy, and so when a groom says to me, “that was actually fun!” or “that was no where near as painful as I thought it would be!” I'm one happy photographer.  If you know guys and taking pictures, the praise doesn't get much higher!
