Phil
Phil Barton
September 1966 - February 2023
It is with huge, huge sadness I have to let the world know of the sad death of my long time buddy & partner in crime Phil Barton. Phil was one of the kindest, funniest, most wonderful people I ever met and worked with. the stories I could tell of the trouble we got in to over the years would curl your hair!  We first met in 1995 when as an 18 year old with no idea about life I got a summer job "on the post". His first words to me contained as many expletives as they did normal words and from then on it was buddies. From sending other posties weird sounding "official"letters from governments all over the world, tasking other posties with spy jobs, re writing lyrics to songs on those marathon party runs, (sorry Megan Trainor),  to trying to draw cock and balls on each others cars, (sometimes getting the wrong cars),  to inserting words and terms from the hilarious Rogers Profanisaurus in to our conversations with customers, the laughter and daftness never stopped.
He was also one of the most naturally talented photographers I ever worked with. His passion and creativity were unsurpassed as was his love for Julie, gadgets and motorbikes.

Unfortunately a few years back Phil was diagnosed with Dementia /Alzheimers and he very quickly took a turn for the worst. Looking back the signs were there but I didn't recognise them, especially in someone so young. Its been a while because of the his illness since we worked together and I often find myself asking what would he do/say.
Very selfishly towards the end I couldn't face visiting him, something I will always regret. Every memory I have of him is him being cheeky, funny, rude or just down right hilarious. I will miss him massively and really will make sure I try everything I can to make him proud of where the business is today. without Phil It wouldn't be anywhere near what it is already.

Later in the year I will be fundraising for Alzheimers UK & Dementia Uk so watch this space.

Rest well buddy and miss you loads. Love you always!
