Hi, I'm Sarah the person behind Mirror Image Photography and have been in business since 2013. My passion of photography came at a young age, I loved taking photo, then my Dad give me my first camera, It was at that point my love for photography erupted. I would take my little camera everywhere and used my pocket money to pay for processing the photos.
I single handedly built up my business over the last 11 years as well has having two children within this time. Over the years I have been honoured to have photographed lots of families and Dogs and have taken such joy watching families grow over this time.
Most recently I have added horses and ponies photo sessions, to capture that bond between the rider and their horse. I'm a great horse lover, this was the reason behind introducing these sessions, as I wanted to capture that beautiful relationship that you have with your animal, as you put so much trust into them when they are carrying you on your back.
I have an enthusiastic approach to my work and formed great relationships with lots of schools and nurseries around Northumberland and Cumbria. I love to get the children outside of the school into the school’s outdoor spaces so that I can create a relaxed child and get the most natural images. I also do not do the usual photo package with one photo, each parent pack has up to 10 different images to choose from along with competitive prices to suite everyone’s budget.
Being a parent myself, I'm very familiar with uncooperative children, however I'm armed with lots of inside knowledge in getting the best out of your child and making them feel relaxed and at ease, so that I can get the most natural photos and create a memory that will last for ever, as let’s face it, children grow and change so much, at a very fast speed which is so scary.
I like to take natural photos to capture each individual's personality. It is my aim to offer a friendly, relaxed, professional service to each and every one of you, should it be for a non performing toddler to a four legged family member, I take my time to coax them into feeling secure and capture their characters.
Here at the studio, we have access to some beautiful woodlands and offer a unique photo experience as I offer you all a mix of indoor and outdoor sessions which gives you all both a studio and outdoor photo experience in one sitting.
I have a natural ability to be able to put people at ease and make having a family portrait an enjoyable experience, which is illustrated in my work, whether this is capturing those special our very special four legged friends big or small, or those little people who take our heart.
