Mirror Image Photography

Mirror Image Photography is run by a leading photographer Sarah Smith. I promise to make you feel relaxed, and never put anyone under pressure, if their children or animal's do not behave as they should.

I'm based in a small village called Bardon Mill, in Northumberland.

It is my passion being taking high quality portrait photography, of the family or of your four legged friends, at affordable prices.

Family Photography
I have a relaxed personality and a natural ability is being able to put our client’s at ease, which is illustrated in our work; however if my friendly personality doesnt work, it always works letting children play outside in the wood area to the rear of the studio. If you have a special location in mind, I'm more than happy to travel to you.   My photo shoots do not have to be formal, you can opt for a combination of indoor or outdoor photos, the choice is entirely down to you

I do have a fully equipped studio with lots of different props allowing families to have fun therefore producing natural not staged photographs.  If you do have an animal that you want to take part in your family photoshoot, please bring them along.

In our experience of taking small children we are aware they may not be always in the best of moods, we can assure you we will never rush a sitting but will wait patiently and capture their personalities and this will portray the characters and emotions of each and every individual.

Animal Photography
I'm a huge dog lover and I would have a houseful if I could.  I do have a little Shih-poo, called Rosie and she is a little treasure, she is such a loyal dog and is always by my side.  I try to avoid most doggy programs, and do not watch Marley and me, as it is sudden tears.  So I get my doggy fix by doing doggy portraits.  No dog is to big and no dog is to small, I will take my time and capture their personalities in a relaxed professional manor.  The sad fact of life is our faithful friends do not have a huge life span; therefore I think it is so important to have photos to treasure for years to come, why should our faithful friends miss out on a photo opportunity.

Nursery & School Services
I run a unique and modern mobile portrait studio for nursery schools and community centres in the North East and Cumbria

At every nursery we attend we set up a full portrait studio set complete with various props and items designed to keep the children’s interest and make the session as fun and enjoyable as possible, which results in a fantastic set of  images capturing each child’s individual personality.

I spend a good length of time with each child allowing us to photograph them in a number of poses, capturing their more natural and relaxed expressions.

Each parent receives a personalised proofing pack (of which we have enclosed a copy) containing a minimum of 9 images of their child’s portrait session in with both colour, sepia and black and white options.  Parent’s are under no obligation to purchase any photographs and the proofing pack are theirs to keep.

In order to maintain our high standards of customer service and provide each parent with a unique set of photographs that they can treasure for years to come, we are now limiting the number of nurseries we visit each year.

If you would like to have an informal chat about my portraits, or nursery packages please email me on mirrorimagephotography37@yahoo.com or by phone on 01434 344 090/ 07719459184.
