The calm before the storm!
This time is so special, at the moment it's just the two of you... just you and your baby.
I loved every minute of being pregnant, but never made the time to have professional photos taken - I wish I had. (I'll show you my 'self portraits' if you decide to join me at The Garage Studio!)
So when is the best time to have your maternity session? If there are no complications, or history of early delivery, the best time for your portraits is between 34-36 weeks. During this time your 'Belly' is at it's best, and you're still reasonably comfortable.
Where will your session take place and what should you wear? Firstly think about the style of portrait you would like - formal, casual, or contemporary? Then choose your location, outdoors, studio, or at home? Once you've decided on these elements we can choose your clothing accordingly. Nude portraits are very popular, but depend entirely upon your level of modesty and choice of location. This can be discussed during your pre session consultation.
Will your Partner/Husband/Children be joining you for this portrait session? They are absolutely welcome and we can incorporate them into your session. However the focus of the session will be on you!
Stretch marks are a 'trophy' of your pregnancy, however if you prefer - retouching is standard for all maternity sessions.
If you are taking advantage of the Bellie to Bundle package, please remember to contact me as soon as your baby arrives. It is SO important that we capture your newborn in those first 8-12 days, if you're hoping to achieve the sleepy curled up poses.
If for any reason you are unable to make it to The Garage Studio during this time, do not stress... we will still be able to capture those precious early days, even if I have to visit you both in hospital!
