Hammonds Photography Studio was established in Chelmsford in June 2010, and since opening we have photographed over 11,750 families*. Our mission was to create a child and family friendly studio that could fit in around our client's busy lives, as well as create for them beautiful quality portraits that they will treasure for generations to come.
We pride ourselves on our huge returning customer base, resulting from our attention to detail, high level of customer service and non-hard sale approach. It's also lots of fun to see children we photographed as tiny babies grow up! *Updated September 2024
We understand how much time and planning goes into arranging your family photoshoot - whether it's a family of 3 or 30 - which is why we have so many clients putting their trust in us time and time again to capture these special moments.
We are incredibly passionate about what we do, and proud to have created so many beautiful images that thousands of families will treasure forever. The majority of our customers book in on a voucher offer - this gives you the chance to experience our studio photography with very minimal up front costs.

Your Experience With Us
In our Chelmsford photography studio we strive to make your experience with us as fun and relaxed as possible.
One of our highly skilled photographers will greet you upon arrival, then take you to our studio where together you'll create images to cherish for a lifetime that are fun, spontanious and REAL images of you and your family.
Each and every family, and member within it, are different so we always aim to create a completely bespoke experience for your family.
After your photo shoot there's no need to try and find another date to come back - you can see your images straight away!
We will invite you to relax in our reception while we prepare your images, then once ready you can view them in our private cinematic viewing suite.
Together with your photographer you will choose the perfect way to display your images in your home.
Throughout the whole process we have toys for the kids to play with and don't worry you are more than welcome to bring snacks we know they help!
